I was responsible for modeling Nemesis' hands while working at Framestore. I created 3 versions of the arm using reference images from the prop created for the movie. The first version was made to work as a prop by itself ( it can be seen in the scene where she attaches the mech hand to her arm, the second version is a battle damaged one and the third one was the version adapted to the digi double created for the actress. One tricky part was made sure that it could perform all movements of a regular hand, since it has a ton of parts. I ended up cutting some parts of the palm in a way that they could slide on top of each other and create a telescopic effect.
